Hi Stephen! Low carb takes a lot of mindfulness. You can eat as much as you want, and it's really all delicious, fresh and healthy food. But the problem is that most of the 'comfort food' we grew up with, at least here in the US, are starch-based. Rice, pasta, potatoes, bread. Cakes and cookies and chips. Sometimes I just want to sit down with a roll of cookie dough!

But then I remember how much i enjoy being healthy and looking fit. As your friend discovered, low carbing really does work, with so little effort (besides that of awareness).

It just has to be a lifestyle and not a diet. Diets don't work anyway. :)

We've got a friend that has just lost 35kg (70lbs) over about 20 weeks by going low carb. She is so so happy
